SHS PTSO Grant Application

Every year, the Sharon High School PTSO allocates over half of its annual budget for educational grants. We invite all SHS faculty and student club leaders to apply for an academic and/or club grant this year! Grant applications are considered and awarded in 3 cycles: fall (October), winter (January), and spring (April).

The Grant Committee encourages innovation and considers the number of students who would benefit and the longevity of the program/equipment/resource. Academic grants for the same purpose can only be approved once; however, club grants can be for recurring expenses. Grants must be used by the end of the school year and cannot be used for food or drink, products to be sold, professional development, scholarships, or competition entry fees. The maximum academic award is $1500; the maximum club award is $200.

Student club leaders applying for a club grant must have the approval of the club's faculty advisor. Faculty are responsible for getting all necessary approvals of their grant application, including their Department Coordinator's approval and the School Committee's approval if their grant application includes a single item that exceeds $500 in value.
